12/29/04 - Dungeon Crawl Classics #13: Crypt of the Devil Lich is now available as a PDF e-book from www.rpgnow.com. You've probably heard about this module. Ten dungeon designers helped produce this beautiful death trap, which is destined to become a legend. It was used in the First Annual Dungeon Crawl Classics Open Tournament at Gen Con Indy 2005, and is now available for your home use -- at least in the PDF edition. The print edition is still a month away from being available, but we're releasing the PDF within 2004 in order to qualify for certain awards. We really think it's that good!

12/21/04 - The Redwood Scar is now available! The first Blackmoor module since 1987, this exciting adventure takes players to Dave Arneson's Blackmoor, the First Fantasy Campaign, on an epic quest through the depths of the terrible Redwood Forest.

12/19/04 - We have uploaded a new mech schematic for DragonMech (104K PDF). This full-page version is for larger mechs, and includes space for tracking crew stats and other info. It's the same schematic sheet that will be featured in the upcoming Mech Manual.

11/2/04 - The reviews for Geek Wars are starting to roll in -- and they're good! Rpg.net gives it 4.5 stars out of 5 and says "the game is fun and funny" -- read the review!

10/31/04 - Last week we mentioned the delay of Dungeon Crawl Classics #13: Crypt the Devil Lich (now scheduled for January). Well, here's the good news: we're delaying it so we can make it awesome. Here's a sneak peak at some of the amazing color art this module will feature...

  • If you enjoyed Chuck Whelon's art on Geek Wars, or his covers for Dungeon Crawl Classics (he did the front covers for #5, #7, and #9), you may enjoy Pewfell Porfingles, his funny comic strip about an extremely inept wizard married to Tina the warrior princess.   • If you enjoyed the Complete Guide to Drow, you'll probably like A Dozen Drow Items, a PDF supplement recently released by Ronin Arts. This affordably priced sourcebook presents a variety of drow items that can be used simply as equipment or as the building blocks of larger adventures.

8/29/04 - Well, another Gen Con is done, and more new products are in the pipeline! We've posted a Gen Con wrapup to our forums with some of the highlights of the show. But first we have to give a big shout-out: thank you to all the wonderful fans who came by our booth and participated in the Dungeon Crawl Classics Open Tournament, which was an absolute blast. And we'd be remiss if we didn't honor the accomplishments of the tournament winners right here on the front page!

Without further ado, the top-scoring team in the First Annual Dungeon Crawl Classics Open Tournament was The Josh O'Connor Experiment, starring original members Josh O'Connor-Rose, Mark Karay, Juan Burriel, Michael Maenza, Dustin Short, and Matthew Filla, and last-round substitutes Andrew Brogan and Tom Caudron.

The second place team was Clan Yeoman, starring Samir Shamma, Dave Stanford, Tim Buckley, Dan Adams, Nicol Roell, and Riyal Shamma.

The top-scoring individual (who will receive an original character portrait by Erol Otus) was Dan Adams of Clan Yeoman.

The 2nd-place individual (who will receive original art from Dungeon Crawl Classics #1) was Michael Maenza of The Josh O'Conner Experiment.

Congratulations to everyone for a great tournament!

8/4/04 - The Big Gen Con Update

Dungeon Crawl Classics Open Tournament: All participants in the tournament should download and read the Player Pack before the con! (1.5 MB PDF) The Player Pack will get you familiar with the pregenerated PCs and your mission in the Crypt of the Devil Lich. Being familiar with the PCs ahead of time will make character selection a lot easier, and get the games going faster. We will also have printed copies on hand at the con so you'll have a character sheet to scribble on.

4/4/04 - The Aerial Adventure Guide hardback compilation will be in stores this week. This beautiful book covers everything you need to take your campaign to the sky! More than a third of the book is all-new material, and the rest is updated to 3.5. We've posted an updated preview of the book, including interior art, table of contents, and a PDF preview of the gorgeous deck plans!

3/28/04 - We have a big update for Dungeon Crawl Classics fans:

  • First, Erol Otus has graced us with another great cover! DCC #8: Mysteries of the Drow, featuring his latest work, is scheduled for June release!
  • We've also announced DCC #7: The Secret of Smuggler's Cove, which is scheduled for May release.
  • As if that weren't enough, DCC #5: Aerie of the Crow God is shipping to distributors as we speak... er, type. We've posted additional preview info for this one, which features nine (count 'em -- NINE) illustrated handouts to help bring the adventure alive for your players!

3/21/04 - Bloody Jack is back! "A Reaver's Tale: The Deadly Life and Lively Death of Bloody Jack Dascombe" is a free 5-page web enhancement for Dungeon Crawl Classics #4: Bloody Jack's Gold.
