...are the Age of Cthulhu products written for?
I had kind of assumed CoC 5E, but a guy at my local game store said that he thought they were written for "Basic Role Playing" rules. I know that BRP is sort of the skeleton behind a whole family of RPGs (RuneQuest, Elric/Stormbringer, CoC, and so on) but I guess I had assumed that AoC modules would be written with a specific edition of CoC in mind.
Maybe all versions are similar enough that it doesn't matter?
Anyway, just curious what anyone knows about this.

Re: Which edition rules....
I thought they were written for 6th Edition, but you're right — all of those editions are close enough to cross-over without complications.
I think 7th Edition is perhaps the biggest departure, but it's still darn close (and it's out yet anyway).

Re: Which edition rules....
True. Age of Cthulhu numbers 1 - 8. (plus the two specials), are all written for 6th edition Call of Cthulhu rules. Beginning with #9, they will be written for the new 7th edition rules.
