4th edition and super heroes.....they're like peanut butter and chocolate: two great tastes that go great together!
Realistically, what chance do we have to get super heroes rules from GG?
Shoot, I don't even want a setting...just the rules engine. (Although I wouldn't say no to a setting....or adventures.... )

Nothing in the works at the moment. There are a lot of good super hero games out there already... you'd have to come up with something really special to compete with them.

While I see your point Joe, I think a lot of those other games are repetitive. I read through the new DC game and while their version of classes looks intriguing, it's unnecessarily clunky in the chargen dept. But 4E is pretty brisk and a really robust system. It's already got powers, and healing surges are more believable in that kind of setting anyway.
WotC is coming out with Gamma World next month--I think that's proof enough that the rules are ready to support mutations, powers, etc. with some real gusto to boot!
I've also read a few blogs that are toying with the idea of using 4E along those lines.
I say do it!

Re: 4th Edition rules + super heroes = massive gaming fun
There may be many superhero games out there, but none of them really jump out at me. Seems like the 4E rules set was designed with superhero play in mind.
On the other hand, it seems like Goodman Games is moving away from 4E at the moment. Perhaps now isn't the best time to do another 4E product.

I admit that one of the my first impressions of 4E was that it was like super-powers.

The superhero RPG was already perfected with Champions.
