Steampunk Movies, Books, etc.
I go to a Linux user group that tends to have an older crowd. I mentioned a kickstarter Cowboys & Engines. I gave a quick description of steampunk. One person asked for examples of steampunk. I didn't really have a good suggestion. Does anyone have any good suggestions?

Pacific Rim
I enjoyed the movie but can't say it was a great film. I was thinking about what you could use in DragonMech. I was thinking of their two pilot thought melding technique. Maybe make two psionic helms when worn together the two people act as four crew. Possibly require a concentration check or someth...

Cartoon Action Hour Season 3 has started a kickstarter campaign. It's already passed it's goal. The game is all about 80s cartoon shows like He-Man, G.I.Joe, and Transformers. There have been two previous editions of the game. The first is very different from the second . The new edition is probabl...

Re: How Far Ahead Do You Plan Your Campaign?
I want to plan further ahead but never seem to find the time. As my players have expressed various interests, I've modified my plan. My campaign started with discovering a book and delivering it to the person who could decipher it. I had intended for it to be about that book. Instead they started in...

School of Clockwork Magic (4E)
Defenders of Midgard has a new clockwork magic school. Might be useful for a 4E DragonMech game. Note that the review on drivethrurpg mentions that it only has spells up tenth level.

Amethyst D20 is the d20 product and general setting book. Amethyst: Foundations is the 4E product and general setting book. Amethyst: Evolution is a 4E expansion. Amethyst: Hearts of Chaos is a 4E adventure. Amethyst: Foundations and Amethyst: Hearts of Chaos were published by Goodman Games. I don'...

Re: DCC Open Game Content
So does this effectively mean there cannot be a d20srd.org like site nor an SRD for DCC rpg? Seems like it would be hard to do without being able to mention the luck check mechanics and similar things. (I don't have DCC rpg. I was just looking to see if I could find some more information about what ...

Complete Book of Wererats 3.5
The complete book of wererats had a 3.5 version. Any particular reason this product wasn't brought back with the 3rd Age material? I hate finding interesting products only to find them unavailable.

Re: Arachial Errata? Aerial Adventurer's Guide Questions
I just bought Aerial Adventure Guide. I would have to say p80 listing Arachial as humanoid is a mistake and should be aberration. The Great Bulk quality is a little harder. I think the intent is to give them 1HD with the other benefits so they still get 4x skill points of their class instead. If tha...

Re: So, Broncosaurus Rex...is it extinct?
I recently picked up Lost Prehistorica from drivethrurpg. I haven't had the time to look through it much but it might be good for a Broncosaurus Rex game. I bought it mainly for the Stegotaur. I like the Zoats from Warhammer 40k (at least when they existed) so more half dinosaur centaurs appeal to me.

Re: New X-Crawl & Dragonmech
While I'd like to keep DragonMech alive, I don't really want a DCC rpg version. What I really want is DragonMech Battles which they had been testing so it is hopefully close to done.GnomeBoy wrote:If DCC hits it off, maybe there'd be a Dragonmech version or campaign book...

Kobold Quarterly is available as a physical magazine. It isn't only 4E as it has 3.5 and Pathfinder material as well. In fact if you want to check it out the pdf of Kobold Quarterly #11 is available for free with coupon KQ11Gift. This end Feb 9 so you'll have to grab it quick.

Re: Lunar Dragon Breeds
I pointed my brother to these stats. He intends to use them in his non-D&D encounters. He was going to run D&D encounters but the store didn't get the material so he started running my adventure. He has since followed a different path but the Lunar Scum Dragon would fit perfectly. The player...

Re: Really cool Idea: Dragonmech & Pathfinder
If they were just updating the current material to Pathfinder, I'm not that interested. What I'd really like to see is DragonMech Battles. New material for Pathfinder or 3.5 would be interesting. I wouldn't mind a 4E D&D version.

Re: Goodman DCC's and B&N's Nook Color....
I remember hearing about some ereaders having a problem with jpeg2000 images in pdf files. I can't find the thread now. You can convert the pdf to not use jpeg2000 using Adobe's pdf creation tool. I'm sure there are other ways of converting them but I don't have an ereader so I haven't looked into i...
