Re: Minimum Spellburn = Spellburn bonus?
It's up to the Judge, and I always give the bonus, and here's why: Chill Touch. Chill Touch requires at least 1 point of spellburn. If you roll a natural 1 on a spell-check while spellburning you permanently lose 1 ability point. As a Judge, I figure if you're going to risk a 5% chance of permanent ...

Re: Errata, part 2 (updated core book file, Aug 09, 2017)
Table 1-1: Ability Score Modifiers is still messed up: Pg 12, Table 1-1: Ability Score Modifiers, 5th row (Ability Score 7), 5th column (Max Wetware Program Level**): the value in the spot, 1, is at the end of the 4th column. Also, this may just be my misunderstanding, or I may be missing something,...

Re: Trying to get back into the game - a question and some i
The old standby of max at first level (0 in the case of DCC) has a long and illustrious history, and the benefit of simplicity. FWIW, I'd handle that as max at 1st Level. The Zeros are supposed to be squishy, and giving them all max hp might make funnel adventures not work the way they are supposed...

1d5 random thoughts ... The Purple Sorcerer generators gather together a number of published level 0 HP variants. The old standby of max at first level (0 in the case of DCC) has a long and illustrious history, and the benefit of simplicity. DCC has these neat tidbits tucked here and there. For exam...

Man, I'm going to go big on this one. I love DCC, and I've loved Lankhmar since I was a kid, more than 30 years ago. This is a no-brainer.

Very S&S, very reminiscent of Elric.imperialus wrote:For those who don't have the book yet, basically it involves summoning a demon, and then negotiating/forcing it to bind its life force to the magic item. So many ways things could go so terribly wrong.

Oh, and if VH is successful enough, I might be tempted to do BoHM as a setting for that rules set... Wow, nice! As a child of the 70's and a scifi aficionado I was already intrigued. My daughter and I were disappointed the BoHM Kickstarter didn't fund; the possibility of considering a BoHM setting ...

Brotherhood of the Wolf, Peter Cushing as Van Helsing in the early Hammer films, or read any Tomb of Dracula, that's about the type of character players could expect to play in TATG. Hmmm. Cushing as Van Helsing, is all kinds of awesome, but I have to say, you had me at Brotherhood of the Wolf. I j...

Re: Zocchi Dice Buyer's Guide
I think an "official" set of DCC dice that came in an "official" DCC logo dice bag would sell hand over fist. There's an idea. I'd buy the hell out of that. They could approach Dragon Chow about doing the official dice bags; a few gaming products have already gone through them f...

Re: Three Things I Don't Love About DCC
I mean, why do all forces that deal in magic have to be dark and demonic? In LotR, you had Sarumon and Gandalf, with Sarumon falling to corruption and Gandalf not. The Valar are supposedly angelic forces not demonic. Some folks are gathering funds to publish a patrons book, and some of the patrons ...
