It's sadly a limitation of the current board format/version... Upgrading would be a great idea when time/resources collide properly, I'm sure... I also moderate these boards, and some days find myself deleting 25+ posts just to keep these forums PG-13... We are working within the confines of the cur...

Here, here! Cafe Press is the way to go for custom print jobs like this -- I've had very good success as both a customer and a vendor there. Ideally, since it's virtually free to operate your store at Cafe Press, you could offer t-shirts of every single DCC cover or specific cover/prints of your fav...

I was excited to talk to Joseph about 4E and the direction Goodman Games is going in with the new edition. It's a thrill and a privilege to be on board and be able to contribute to the first wave of content being produced for our fans -- those who have already gotten a taste for the Goodman Games pr...

I love these sorts of compilations. I'm certainly looking forward to this product. As a GM, I do like to dig through a good module, but more often I just want some good ideas to kick around or to read something that helps inspire a burst of creativity to get me past a bit of writer's block, or add t...

All I can tell you is... if you made your way through the entire tournament and thought your party could saunter back to town, well... think again. You broke into the Vault. Now you've got to make your way back out! I was thrilled to be able to write a sequel to help wrap up the epic storylines pres...

Thanks JediOre for the very detailed and very entertaining recap of the adventures... I love reading about what took place and how the players react to encounters I develop -- and I especially love seeing how DMs weave the Interludes into their ongoing campaigns. The wererat Bloodwhisker is indeed a...

Wow. Sounds like a great time was had by all! I'm glad the participants enjoyed themselves and I hope it was good for your store and passersby watching all those people having fun. I always enjoy hearing how other people fare in Vault of the Dragon Kings -- it's probably my favorite module I've work...

I don't think it will flop. Sure, some people will stick with 3.5 (many have invested hundreds, if not thousands, into books and content). But there is certainly a market for a hybrid game tapping into the spirit of MMORPGs - a younger audience (with shorter attention spans?) that want immediate RPG...

Why is there an option to quit before the buzzer sounds? Because if players wanted to end it early, they could do so anyway by dragging it out. I had this happen during a session of Crypt of the Devil Lich... The team knew they were nearing the end of their time block, but didn't know how close they...

For those eager to get a taste of what's to come, here's the Player Introduction found in the Xcrawl Player Pack. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. For those of you participating in the 2007 Xcrawl Tournament - welcome! I'm sure you'll be pleased with the results. It's a grueling, grinding, exciting tournament. This is key and worth repeating: Also, toad is correct in that we attempt to honor on-site requests as long as 1) all concerned parties are in agreement and 2) all tickets are for the same time slot. ... I cannot stress enough that we as the tournament organizers do not force people out of ticketed ...

I have a strong feeling that WotC will seal the borders, so to speak, and either eliminate the open nature of the rules altogether, or do a very limited licensing situation like you mention. I've got a hunch they'll be moving to a web-fulfillment model for content - perhaps sticking wth core books i...

If I'm not mistaken (I'd have to pull up the manuscript to review) there are some conditions for the final confrontation that show weakened states for the final big bad contraption if the players have been successful in getting their hands on some of the lenses before Skullshank could... Design Q >> What Makes a "Classic" Adventure
To get some discussion started in this forum, I'd love to hear from fans and my fellow writers on what different factors go into making an adventure feel "Classic" ? What are the themes, elements, design decisions, encounters and other things evoke a feel of the great adventures of yore? W...
